“As Gainesville Independent School District moves through the fall semester, we are proud of the strong start to the school year and grateful for the collective efforts that help our school community soar higher. As we look to the future, our focus remains on positioning GISD to maximize opportunities for all students.

A key part of enhancing the student experience is ensuring that our district facilities align with the learning environments we aspire to create for our scholars. The district’s last bond program was approved nearly 20 years ago, and during that time, GISD has grown by 600 students without undergoing significant facility renovations.

Recognizing this, our school community has begun a collaborative journey to reimagine schools that support innovative, future-focused learning in Gainesville ISD. This work includes gathering input from staff through surveys and conversations, as well as engaging community members to help shape a comprehensive facilities plan.”
